SERVICES

CONSULTATIONS

Treasury Medical provides care across the full breadth of General Practice. Each doctor has their own clinical style and particular areas of interest, while working together to ensure continuity and whole-of-person care.

Standard consultations are available for routine concerns, reviews and follow-up. We endeavour to keep some same-day appointments available for issues requiring more urgent attention, though this is not always possible.

Long consultations are available for more complex matters, multiple issues, mental health discussions, or where more time is needed. Long consultations always attract an out-of-pocket cost.

For Department of Veterans’ Affairs patients, Gold Card holders and eligible conditions under White Cards are billed directly to DVA.

We provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care through the Indigenous Access Program, including regular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Checks, GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMPs), and access to the Closing the Gap (CTG) Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

We offer mental health consultations and can prepare Medicare Mental Health Care Plans where eligible. These plans may entitle patients to Medicare rebates for up to ten individual therapy sessions per calendar year with a psychologist or allied mental health professional.

Travel medicine consultations are available, including travel health advice and travel vaccinations.

We offer all routine childhood and adult vaccinations, including pneumococcal and shingles vaccines, as well as influenza and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations when eligible and available.

We also provide comprehensive full-body skin cancer checks utilising dermoscopy and DermEngine digital imaging technology (Dr Finlayson).

Preventive Health Care

Good health doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built over time through awareness, prevention, and consistent care. At Treasury Medical, we believe preventive care is the foundation of a healthy, confident life.

Our GPs take the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, and future goals and work with you to reduce risks before they become problems. Preventive care is integrated into your ongoing visits, with attention to your health, screenings, and lifestyle support as part of regular GP care.

Travel Vaccinations

Planning a trip overseas? Whether it’s a family holiday to Bali, a business trip to Singapore, or a trek through Nepal, protecting your health before you travel is essential. Treasury Medical offers comprehensive, GP-led travel vaccination and health advice tailored to your destination, itinerary, and medical history.

Travel with confidence knowing your health is in expert hands.

PROCEDURES

Treasury Medical provides a range of minor procedures that can be performed on-site, where clinically appropriate.

Skin lesions can be assessed during consultation, and if indicated, may be biopsied or excised at the practice. Routine follow-up and wound care are included to support healing and monitoring.

We perform Implanon insertion and removal for contraception.

We also offer ear syringing, spirometry, ECGs, pregnancy testing, cryotherapy for skin lesions, and immunisations as part of routine general practice care.

Where appropriate, and after clinical assessment and planning, we can provide iron infusions at the practice. This allows treatment to occur in a familiar environment, with your GP overseeing your ongoing care.

Chronic Condition Management and Health Assessments

For patients living with one or more long-term health conditions, your GP may develop a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) with you. This is a structured plan that outlines your health needs, your goals, and the treatments and supports in place to help manage your condition over time. It may also allow access to Medicare-rebated allied health services where these are directly related to your ongoing condition. These plans are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain relevant and useful.

We also provide a range of Medicare-funded Health Assessments, depending on eligibility:

Diabetes Risk Health Assessment

For adults aged 40 to 49 who are at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This assessment can be completed once every three years if eligible.

Chronic Disease Risk Health Assessment

For adults aged 45 to 49 who are at risk of developing a chronic disease. This assessment can be completed once if eligible.

75+ Health Assessment

For patients aged 75 years and over, this assessment is available annually and is designed to support independence, wellbeing and preventative care.

Intellectual Disability Health Assessment

For patients with an intellectual disability, this is available annually and provides structured, ongoing preventative care.

Veteran Health Checks

Former serving members of the Australian Defence Force are eligible for a one-off Veteran Health Check (formerly the Post-Discharge Health Assessment). Those who transitioned from service after 1 July 2019 are eligible for a fully-funded Annual Veteran Health Check for the first five years after transition.
