AT TREASURY MEDICAL

Dr Scott Finlayson

Specialist General Practitioner
MBBS, BOptom(Hons), MPH(Defence), FRACGP

Dr Finlayson is the Practice Principal and Director of Treasury Medical. He provides comprehensive, whole-of-person General Practice care, with particular interests in preventative health, men’s and women’s health, mental health, and skin cancer medicine and minor surgery. He cares for patients across all ages and stages of life, with an emphasis on continuity, thoughtful decision-making, and collaborative care.

Originally trained as an optometrist, Dr Finlayson practised on the Mid-North Coast of NSW before studying medicine at the University of Sydney. He served full-time in the Royal Australian Navy, completing his medical training at The Canberra Hospital and deploying on multiple international operations, including to the Middle East Area of Operations. He later completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners while practicing in rural NSW.

Dr Finlayson relocated to Hobart with his family in 2018 to continue his work in General Practice. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golf, cycling, cooking, reading, and time with his family.

Dr Tim Vandenberg

Specialist General Practitioner
MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Vandenberg provides comprehensive, whole-of-life general practice care. He enjoys supporting patients across all ages and life stages, and places strong emphasis on continuity, rapport, and collaborative decision-making. His approach is holistic and patient-centred, working with individuals and families over time to support their health and wellbeing.

Raised in Launceston, Dr Vandenberg studied medicine at the University of Tasmania. He later practiced in Queensland, where he completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners while working in Spring Hill. He has since settled permanently in Tasmania, where he continues to practice and contribute to his local community.

Outside of medicine, Dr Vandenberg enjoys camping, hiking, and bike riding.

Dr Antje Vogelsang–Sharman

Specialist General Practitioner
MD, FRACGP

Dr Antje Vogelsang–Sharman (Dr Angie) studied medicine in Germany before moving to Tasmania in 2003. She retrained in Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Sharman provides comprehensive, patient-centred care across the full spectrum of General Practice, with a strong emphasis on continuity and collaborative decision-making. She enjoys caring for individuals and families across all ages, and remains committed to staying current with developments in medical knowledge and best practice.

Her areas of experience include family medicine, paediatric and adolescent care, women’s and men’s health, transgender health, mental health, Aboriginal health, and chronic and acute care across varied patient needs.

Outside of work, Dr Sharman enjoys time with her growing family — including her grandchildren — and the natural beauty of Tasmania. She speaks English and German, and would love one day to learn Mandarin (though time is, as always, the challenge).

Dr Kenneth Adams

General Practitioner
MBBS, BSN, BS (Psychology), JD

Dr Kenneth (“Ken”) Adams was born in Florida and grew up in Texas, which explains his well-known “Texas drawl.” He originally trained as a Registered Nurse and later completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He went on to study law, earning a Doctor of Law and practising as a lawyer and Municipal Judge in Georgia before moving into medicine.

Dr Adams graduated in Medicine from Flinders University in 2002 and has since practised in both rural and urban settings. He worked in Gunnedah from 2009 to 2018 before relocating to Hobart, where he continues to enjoy the scope and diversity of General Practice.

He values continuity of care, preventative health, and a collaborative approach with local allied health providers to support patient wellbeing. He believes in open, respectful communication and works in partnership with patients to help them feel informed and supported in their decisions.

Dr Adams is a dual US–Australian citizen. He is proud of his two sons — Ian, who is planning a career in medicine, and Baxter, a Clinical Psychologist.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys the variety and challenge that General Practice brings and feels privileged to be part of the Hobart community.

Dr Touska Noor

Specialist General Practitioner
MD, FRACGP

Dr Touska Noor has worked in General Practice since 2015 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She enjoys the full breadth of primary care and values the opportunity to build continuity and long-term relationships with her patients.

Dr Noor has a particular interest in preventative health, women’s health, children’s health, chronic disease management, and supporting patients to make informed, sustainable decisions about their wellbeing. She is committed to practising medicine in a way that is collaborative, respectful, and centred around the individual’s goals and circumstances.

Dr Noor speaks English and Persian, and welcomes patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She enjoys the variety and problem-solving nature of General Practice, and the privilege of caring for families across generations.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and her dog.
